A group buying scheme brings lots of households together to buy the same thing at the same time. Instead of each home negotiating alone, the group buys as one — so everyone gets a better price than they could on their own.

How your discount grows
Our starting prices are based on 100 Walthamstow homes getting installed. For every extra 100 households who sign up, prices fall – and the lower price applies to everyone, including those who joined first.
We're at 120 households – 80 more to unlock the next discount.

Prices are estimates and include equipment, labour, installation, scaffolding and bird protection, with no VAT (until April 2027). Your final price is confirmed after your survey and design, once sign-ups close on 30 November.
We anticipate a conversion rate of around 60%, so we need 300+ sign-ups to achieve the second price level and 500+ sign-ups to achieve the third.

Sign up and secure your place
Register through this page and pay a £50 survey deposit to reserve your place in the Solar Savings Club. This deposit is non-refundable and comes straight off your final invoice if you go ahead.

We contact you to book your survey
A member of our team will contact you directly to arrange a convenient date and time for your survey. There's no need to chase us; we'll be in touch.

Your full technical survey
One of our surveyors visits your home for a full technical survey, lasting around 60 minutes. We'll:
- Assess your roof using a drone: its size, pitch, orientation and condition
- Find the best location for your inverter and battery
- Plan cable routes from the roof to your equipment and fuse board
- Check your electrics and meter setup
What you need to doBe home for around an hour, with access to your loft (if you have one) and your fuse board.

Registrations close
Sign-ups close and the final group price is set based on the total number of Walthamstow households who have joined. The more neighbours who sign up, the lower the price for everyone.
What you need to doNothing, but sharing the scheme with your neighbours before this date helps lower the price for everyone.
- From December 2026 onwards
Your personalised design and proposal
We send you a tailored system design and a fixed-price proposal at the final group rate, showing the panels, inverter and battery recommended for your home and your expected savings. Proposals are issued in survey order, continuing into the new year.
What you need to doReview your proposal and ask us anything. If you're happy, sign and pay a 10% deposit.

Installation
Installations are scheduled first come, first served, grouping neighbouring streets together to keep costs down. Most installs take one to two days, including scaffolding. We register your system with your network operator and issue your MCS certificate.
What you need to doPay 15% when your install date is booked and the remaining 75% on completion.

Switch on and aftercare
We'll show you how your system and app work, help you set up export payments (SEG) with your energy supplier, and remain on hand with full aftercare, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm.

PRICING
Pricing and savings
Panel-only systems start from £3,750 all-in. Pricing scales by system size. We're aiming for at least a 20% reduction on standard market rates — final pricing locked once group size is confirmed. Battery storage available as an add-on.
Typical for a family home. Most systems pay for themselves within 7–10 years.
FINANCE
Spread the cost with a Warm Homes Loan
Prefer not to pay upfront? The government-backed Warm Homes Loan Scheme lets you spread the cost of solar and battery storage over time, at a reduced interest rate.

Government support comes as a reduction on your loan's interest rate.

Finance is subject to status and low interest loans subject to announcement from DESNZ (Department of Net Zero).
